Being a Father is the most amazing feeling in the world. With that said, being a Father can be one of the most challenging things in the world. This leaves some first time Fathers wondering " What should I know as a first time Father ".
My beautiful daughter is now 13 months old so I can only reference my personal experiences. Below are 5 items of information that a first time Father should know.
1. Sleep as much as you can while your wife is pregnant.
I say this because once your baby arrives, you will be on his or her schedule for the first 4-8 months.
2. Take as many training classes as possible prior to becoming a Father.
Believe it or not there are so many little things that we can improve on to become not only a better father but also a better companion to our woman during this time.
3. Keep Mommy happy.
From the day that you find out she is pregnant and well after the baby is born, do whatever it takes to make her happy. She will be very emotional but it's our job to keep her happy and as comfortable as possible.
4. Understand that there is not a manual on how to be the perfect Father.
We are going to make mistakes. The best thing to do is learn from them and not over react when they happen.
5. Have fun!!
After all the crying, fussing, dirty diapers, running noses, and scratching, all it takes is one smile from your child to brighten up your entire day. Children are truly a blessing, so enjoy them.
